Message from our Founder and CEO

When I started the Corporater adventure in the year 2000, I was inspired and driven by the vision of developing a business management platform that gave a single view of a company’s business management. Today we are the experts in developing complete, configurable business solutions built within a single platform that adapts to our customers’ business applications.

We acknowledge that all businesses are different, and it is important to us to reflect this uniqueness in every business solution that we create. Therefore, our platform is designed as an agile, no code, configurable system.

To create such a platform is a lofty goal, and I am aware of what reaching this goal will require from not only me, but also from our employees, our partners, and the company. I strongly believe that our acquired success rests upon our values, and that these values form the core of how we in Corporater conduct our business – always focusing on doing what is right, by applying the highest standards of ethical conduct in every decision, every relationship and in every interaction. Our code of business conduct guides us on this path towards the vision that started it all, and it unites all of us by guiding our everyday decisions based on honesty, integrity and trustworthiness.

The Corporater Story

The beginning

Our story begins in 2000 in Stavanger, Norway, with a young business enterpreneur with a passion for technology, innovation, and philanthropy: Tor Inge Vasshus.

After twelve years of working in the performance and finance domain at two large Norwegian companies, Tor Inge’s vision was to create a company that would:

  • Provide easy-to-use software that drives business outcomes
  • Use its business gains for the betterment of the world

From a startup to a global enterprise

Corporater was formally founded on April 28, 2000.

At that time, Corporater was staffed only by its two founders. Corporater welcomed its first full-time employee mid-September 2000, and together the team of three, alongside a few skilled contractors, developed the first version of what was to become the Corporater Business Management Platform.

During the following years, Corporater became one of the fastest growing global software companies in performance management.

Today, Corporater has 10 office locations and Corporater integrated solutions for governance, performance, risk, and compliance are used by top leading organizations around the world.

Staying true to our vision

We continue to deliver on our commitment to make a real difference in the lives of those in need. We carry out some of our greatest social impact projects in collaboration with our partner Seb’s Projects India – a non-profit organization that focuses on creating schools, community health programs and livelihoods programs for communities in the poorest rural and tribal regions in India.

In 2019, Corporater launched Covid-19 Relief Fund to support communities in Andaman Islands with food and resources.

Since its founding in Stavanger, Norway, in 2000, Corporater has grown into a global organization with offices around the world to support our growing list of customers and partners.
