We believe in the power of business to end poverty. We believe that by giving our time, resources and energy we can bring life where life seems lost, bring light where there is darkness, and bring increase where things seem to decrease.
Together we can make a difference.
“There are three words engraved in mine and Aslaug’s wedding ring – life, light, and increase. It is these three words that symbolize our life’s mission – bring life where life seems lost, bring light where there is darkness, bring increase where things seem to decrease.
It is one of my core beliefs that everyone deserves to live a good life. Over the past few decades, it has been my personal, and now also Corporater’s, mission to improve the quality of life for those in need and promote the wellbeing of humankind by solving social challenges.
Through our social impact initiatives and joined efforts with our partners, we are able to provide underprivileged groups and communities with access to clean water, education programs, and livelihood opportunities. Together we can make a difference.”
— Tor Inge Vasshus, Founder and CEO | Corporater
Seb’s Projects India is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating education, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities to the poorest communities in India. Since 2017 Corporater has worked with Seb’s Projects India on projects aimed to eliminate poverty and improve well-being of local communities.
Together with Seb’s, Corporater provides resources used to fund education programs and improved access to water and sanitation.
Together with Seb’s Projects India, Corporater has committed to provide clean water systems to seven villages in Jawadhi Hills, India. The project will help a total of 720 families (approx. 5,400 people). The goal of the project is to improve the quality of life for people living in Jawadhi Hills by providing them with access to clean water suitable for drinking, bathing, cooking, and cleaning.
The Andaman Islands is a group of small islands in the Bay of Bengal, between India and Myanmar. Numerous people living in this area suffer from poverty and hunger, and the COVID-19 pandemic has only made their situation worse. With a full lockdown in place, many people lost their job and food supply became scarce. The need for resources was urgent.
Corporater is an active supporter of the Dina Foundation (Dina Stiftelsen), an independent aid organization that provides humanitarian aid, protection, care and necessary help to girls who are victims of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Dina Foundation actively works to secure the rights of children and adults in war-torn and disaster-stricken areas.
The Dina Foundation further helps homeless and disabled children in Uganda and India by providing them with food, clothing, education and shelter.
Corporater is a proud sponsor of Compassion for Asia, a humanitarian organization focused on providing support to people in need throughout Nepal and to India.
With roughly a third of Nepal’s population living close to the poverty line, the elderly are one of the most vulnerable groups impacted by hunger and neglect. Many Nepal’s old people live on the street with no access to food, healthcare, and shelter.
When Tor Inge and his father visited Nepal in 2007, they were gripped by the lack of elderly care in the country and decided to help Compassion for Asia start a retirement home. Today the home serves as a safe haven that provides Nepal’s elderly with shelter, food, and access to medical care.
