Michael Brazukas is recognized as the foremost expert on strategic planning and strategy execution for complex, mission-based organizations around the world. He has personally helped to develop strategic plans and implement strategy management systems within NATO, the United Nations Secretariat, various UN agencies, the Inter-American Developmental Bank, the US Department of Interior, and the US Army Medical Command.
His experience spans a host of treaty-based organization, non-governmental entities, quasi-governmental entities, non-profit organizations, foundations, and associations, as well as federal, municipal and county governments. Michael works directly with client leadership teams for facilitation, coaching, consulting and training.
His deep knowledge spans best practices in strategic planning, strategy mapping, balanced scorecards, performance measurement, strategic initiative portfolio management, strategy management review meetings, process excellence, management behavior change, and organizational change management. He is also a specialist in Baldrige assessments.
Michael published several articles in Harvard Business Publishing’s Balanced Scorecard Report, and he is currently working on his book entitled, “Strategy Management: An Executive’s Desk Reference.” He holds a degree in East Asian Studies from Princeton University where he compared the quality management practices of major Japanese companies operating in Japan and in the U.S.
