He begins by highlighting how the world is changing, and how large transformation programs like Saudi Vision 2030 set strong expectations, not just for countries, but for people, businesses, and global stakeholders. He introduces resilient performance as achieving objectives by combining strategy, performance, and risk. While performance focuses on opportunities, risk focuses on what can go wrong—both are two sides of the same coin. Using the example of the Titanic, he shows that strong performance alone is not enough without resilience and business continuity.
He also explains that organizations can achieve resilient performance through the GPRC framework (Governance, Performance, Risk, and Compliance)—by reliably achieving objectives, optimizing results, and addressing uncertainty with integrity. The keynote also highlights the importance of models, taxonomy, and alignment across organizational levels, along with the role of technology and digital twins in connecting strategy, risk, and performance.
