Via a Resources list you can access external files in your scorecards, i.e. you can display files on web pages, e.g. include a document in a web page, where the document is stored as a file resource.
In this context, Resources are objects that contain external files and connections. These are loaded into the system via Resources in Configuration Studio.
A Resources list will appear on the web page for the element and contain a list of the resources available. A file can be opened by clicking on the icon beside it.
To add a Resources list element to a scorecard element, right click the parent element to which it belongs, choose Add -> File view -> Resources view list.
General
Name - the name "Resources list" is generated automatically but it may be changed
Description - an optional text describing the object
Column configuration - choose the properties to be displayed. By default, each object is configured to show a given set of properties, but you can change which properties to show and in which order. To change whether a property is visible or not, click the icon to the right and choose between "visible", "hidden" or "not available" in the Visible column. Web users can select to hide columns that are "visible" or show ones that are "hidden" by clicking the downward arrow on a column heading on the web; they will not see items with "not available". Use the arrows on the right to change the order.
Configuration
Resource category - a drop-down list containing the categories that have been created in Resources in Configuration Studio. Choose the category that contains the file or files you want to use. Note that all files in the category will be displayed, if they fulfil the criteria you specify below.
Time filter
By entering Time adjustments in the From and To fields you can specify the interval for which you wish to display files. This interval will be compared to the date on each file. If no time adjustments are entered files from within the default period will be displayed.
From - the starting date for the interval. Default value is -10y
To - the end date for the interval. Default value is +10y
Example:
You have uploaded a file in February, and you want the file to be displayed in February, March and April only. Select -2M in the 'From' field, which will display files with dates from the currently selected period and two months back in time.
Select March - January/February/March files will be displayed
Select April - February/March/April files will be displayed
Select May - March/April/May files will be displayed, but your February file will no longer be displayed
With Time adjustments BOP and EOP are always implicit, so the functions entered adjust BOP and EOP for the period you are currently using.
Example: If the period is monthly and you enter -BW in From and +EW in To, the result will be all files from the beginning of the first week that ends the current month to the end of the last week that starts in the current month, so you may see files from the end of the previous month until the beginning of the next month.
By using -BY in "From", files from the beginning of the year until the current date will always be displayed, i.e. YTD setting will be overridden.
Undated Resources will not be displayed.
Files that are uploaded via Configuration Studio or Web Config are given today's date. Files that are uploaded via a Resource list element on the web page (see below)
are given the first date in the current period, e.g. a file added Jan. 14th will be dated Jan. 1st.
Offer to open legacy .odt files as
If you have documents that are stored as legacy .odt files (OpenOffice format), you have the option to open them in MS Word and/or PDF format in addition to OpenOffice format. Select one or all of the following alternatives. An icon that corresponds to the file format will be displayed beside each file name on the web, and by clicking the icon you can open the file in that format.
MS Word (DOC)
Open document (ODT)
PDF document (PDF)
It is not possible to open other files than .odt files in OpenOffice.
Filter
Files that are uploaded as Resources may be assigned to a specific organization or model object.
You can assign organization and/or model object when you upload files to Resources.
You can configure the model object for reports that are published as resources in the Reporter configuration.
If a report file is generated via an Action button that starts a Workflow Run report action, the Model object for it will be the object where the Action button is located.
The Model object property for a file may be added or changed manually in Resources.
In a Resource list, you can choose to include only resources for the current organization or organization hierarchy by using Filter by organization or for a certain parent object using Filter resource by model object.
You have these alternatives:
Filter by organization - mark the box to include only files with the current organization and/or its suborganizations
Depth - which organizations to include
This
Subs
All
Filter by resource model object - mark the box to include only files with the current model object as parent
Model object ID - if you want to filter by a different object, enter a token string that returns the ID of the model object to filter by
The tag must resolve to an ID. If the tag is invalid, nothing will be included in the Resource list.
Use a token expression to create a dynamic filter, e.g. ${this.object.id}, ${this.object.parent.id}.
It is not possible for a user to filter by a model object he/she does not have access to.
Include unassigned - mark the box to include resources with no organization set
If no filters are turned on, all resources, including those that are not assigned, will be displayed.
Visibility
Enable file upload - When file upload is enabled you can upload files on the web, e.g. users can add attachments to scorecard objects the same way they can add comments. The file will be added to the Resource category you selected above. If no category is selected, a category with the same name as the Resources list will be created, and the file will be added under this new category.
Files that are to be uploaded on the web may not be bigger that 500MB.
Border style - choose the style the object should have:
Frame and Title bar
Frame only
None
Visible - select how the object should appear on the web:
Visible
Not visible
Only visible for Admin - shows the object on the web only for users with admin user role; this applies everywhere, e.g. breadcrumb, organization tree, page content, Reporter, searching, filtered lists, maps, and Workflow.
This can be useful e.g. when adding new elements to "live" objects.
Audit
Modified by - the name of the last user to make changes to the object.
Last modified - the date and time when the object was last changed.
Created by - the name of the user who created the object.
Created - the date and time when the object was created.
ID
ID - a unique ID for the object.
By
default, Corporater BMP assigns consecutive numbers to new objects.
You can change the ID to a value of choice that can include either letters or letter and number combinations.
The ID mustn't contain only numbers, include special characters such as ) ( . * } { + < > [ ], or match the name of a default object type in Corporater BMP.
Lifetime
Lifetime start - select the first day the object and its available children are valid.
Lifetime end - select the last day the object and its available children are valid.
For more information on how to limit the time period during which an object is available to users, see Time span.
Layout
Row span - number of rows used by an element (Row layout only)
Column span - number of columns used by an element (Row layout only)
Width - the space to be used by the object as per row layout; the number must be postfixed with the unit to use, e.g. 40%, 100px, 10cm, 4in
The Width property is a string, so any html size units (i.e. "%", "px", "em", "mm", "cm",
"in", "pt") may be used. However, bear in mind that when you set fixed widths on objects and there isn't enough space, some of them will be rendered on the next row. We therefore recommend always using %.
Area - choose the part of the page where you want the object to be placed, Header, Body or Footer, when a Column Layout where Header and/or Footer has been selected is used; see Page setup for more information (Column layout only)
The Area property will only appear if the Tab selected is of type Column, and Header or Footer is enabled in Tab.
Column - the column in a Column layout the object should be placed in (Column layout only)
Tab - click the icon and select the tab in the Page setup on which to display the object. Note that the Page setup to choose from is not the one selected on the current object, but the one on the parent object. The tab must belong to the chosen Page setup. New tabs can be created here; see Shared web items for more information.
See Web Layout for more information on layouts.
Miscellaneous
YTD enabled - select the object's relation to year-to-date (YTD) calculations.
True - enables YTD calculations for the object.
False - disables YTD calculations for the object.
Inherit - determines the object to use the value of the corresponding property from its parent object.
Visibility
Show Menu Button - check if you want the button that opens the Options menu for the object to be available on the web page; among other things, the Options menu contains alternatives for editing and deleting. The contents of the Options menu can be configured in Page setup.
Show Icon/Status - select which icon to display in the Title bar. You can choose between:
Table type icon - the standard icon for the object
Status gauge icon - a status gauge used as icon
No icon
