Web Layout

The Layout section of object configurations contains the options that are available for configuring the appearance of each object.

There are two types of Web Layout

Common for both layout types

Properties

The following properties can be set on all objects on tabs regardless which type of layout is used:

Column layout

Properties

The following properties can be set on objects on tabs with Column based layout:

Row layout

Properties

The following properties can be set on objects on tabs with Row based layout:

Some objects have predefined row span and changes to this property will have no effect.

The default Column span value for full screen is four.

Using Row based layouts

Each tab is divided into a certain number of columns where scorecard objects can be placed. This is set up in Tab. When you set Column span for an object, you define how many columns it should span over.

If you set Column span to 2, two cells are reserved for your object. The Width property determines how much of this space you actually use. This means that Column span = 4 and Width = 50% will look similar to setting Column span = 2 and Width = 100%. The difference is that in the latter case another object can use the two remaining columns.

If you want half your screen filled, you set Column span = 4 and Width = 50% if you do NOT want to allow another object to take up the remaining space on the right. Set Column span = 2 and Width = 100% if you DO want to allow another object to occupy that space.

Default Row span is 1. If you set Row span = 2 AND Column width = 2 and Width = 100% you can place one object in one column and two objects in the other column beside it.

Example 1:

You want to place two objects next to each other on the scorecard. We assume that the Layout in use has 4 columns.

To place two objects next to each other, move the second one directly under the first and specify the following values for both of them:

Each of them will fill up half of the screen, i.e. they will be placed next to each other.

Example 2:

You want to place one object below another on the scorecard. You want the first one to use half the screen with nothing beside it, and the other to use the whole screen. We assume that the Layout in use has 4 columns.

Move the second object directly under the first and specify the following values:

Example 3:

You want to place one object in the left column and two objects beside it in the right column.

Place the objects you want in the right column directly below the one you want in the left column and specify the following values for all of them:

In addition set the following on the first one:

Changing Number of columns in the layout in Tab will affect how these examples work.
