Publishing as Resource

A Report schedule can be used to generate a report or presentation and save it as a Resource.  

 

Publishing a report or presentation as a Resource

To create an element for Publishing a report or presentation as a Resource right click on the Report scheduler object and choose Add -> Resource. Double click on the Resource object to configure it.

Properties

General

• Name – the name "Resource" is generated automatically but it may be changed

• Description - an optional text describing the report

 

Destination

• Resource category - click the icon to the right to select the Resource category where the report or presentation should be stored. The category must already exist. If nothing is entered, the file will not be stored.

• Model object - select the parent object for which the report or presentation should be generated; this can be used for filtering in Resource lists

• Report file type - use the drop-down list to choose the desired format  in which to generate the report

or

• Presentation file type - use the drop-down list to choose the desired format  in which to generate the presentation

 

Configuration

• Organization depth - the number of levels in the hierarchy the report or presentation should include. There are three levels to choose from:

  • This - the current organization only

  • Subs - all organizations below the current one, but excluding the current organization, i.e. children only

  • All - the current organization and all children

• Create Organization folders - if the box is marked the scheduler will create a subfolder for each organization
