KPI is an acronym for Key Performance Indicator. A KPI shows how well an organization performs in an area or function.
A KPI value is usually stored in nodes.
To show all KPIs in the system in one table on the perspective page instead of on the strategic objective page on Web,
perform the following:
Deselect Show Strategic objectives for the perspective.
For each KPI, select 'Only visible when displayed as page' for Visible.
Create a Filtered list that displays the KPIs as a table.
To add additional properties uch as Intention, Data source, Type, or Frequency to a KPI, use a Text property.
You create KPIs under strategic objectives.
To create a KPI, right-click the strategic objective in the Business model panel and select Add. Then, from Business object, select KPI.
General
Name - the name that displays for the KPI on Web.
Corporater recommends you use a descriptive name.
Description - an optional text that describes the KPI on Web.
The text displays when a user selects Description under Options in the Functions menu for the KPI on Web.
Responsible - the person who's responsible for the KPI.
Click the Responsible button () and select one or more persons from the list.
The KPIs that a person is responsible for are listed on that person's My KPIs page on Web.
Period type - the period type for which the data displays. Click the Period type button () and select a type.
Status & Progress
Status algorithm - the algorithm type that Corporater BMP uses to calculate the status of the KPI. For information, see Algorithm types.
The default value 'First status' indicates that the KPI's status is based on the first Actual function under the first status object.
The Value column is independent of the Status column. The Value column lists the first Actual function under the first status object.
Manual status - applies only if you select 'Manual status' for Status algorithm.
Select the status color to display for the KPI on Web. Users can change this color on Web.
Status type - the status configuration that Corporater BMP uses for the KPI.
Click the Status type button () and select a status configuration. For information, see Status types.
Inherit status - applies only if you select 'Manual status' for Status algorithm.
If no status value exists for the period, Corporater BMP uses the status value for the previous period.
For Corporater BMP to clear the status value for each period so that users can manually register the status for these periods, deselect the option.
Weight - the importance of the KPI in relation to other objects at the same hierarchical level. Enter a numerical value.
Audit
Modified by - the name of the last user to make changes to the object.
Last modified - the date and time when the object was last changed.
Created by - the name of the user who created the object.
Created - the date and time when the object was created.
ID
ID - a unique ID for the object.
By
default, Corporater BMP assigns consecutive numbers to new objects.
You can change the ID to a value of choice that can include either letters or letter and number combinations.
The ID mustn't contain only numbers, include special characters such as ) ( . * } { + < > [ ], or match the name of a default object type in Corporater BMP.
Lifetime
Lifetime start - select the first day the object and its available children are valid.
Lifetime end - select the last day the object and its available children are valid.

Features
Icon - the icon to display for the KPI in the Business model. To set or change change the current icon, select an icon from the drop-down list.
You can use the icon to illustrate different types of KPIs in your system.
The icon doesn't display in the KPI's menu bar on Web. However, If a table-type object references the KPI, the icon displays for the KPI inside that object.
Show Top Bar - displays the top bar on the object's page on Web.
Show Menu Bar - displays the menu bar on the object's page on Web.
The menu bar includes the page name, status gauge and trend arrow where applicable, as well as the logo for the current organization.
Show tools - displays the Function menu in the menu bar on the object's page on Web.
Show Tabs - displays the tab bar on the object's page on Web.
Visible - select how the KPI displays on Web. This setting applies to how the KPI displays on a page and in any other page element that includes it, such as the breadcrumb, the organization tree, search results, filtered lists, maps, reports and workflow items.

Layout
Columns large screen - the number of page columns the object spans across on Web on a large screen device.
Columns medium screen - the number of page columns the object occupies on Web on a medium screen device.
Columns small screen - the number of page columns the object occupies on Web on a small screen device.
The maximum number of page columns is 6. Hence, for the object to span across the entire page, set the value of '6' for the device type.
For the object to span across half the page, set the value of '3'. For the object to span across a sixth of the page, set the value of '1'.
Page setup - click the Page Setup button () and select a page setup for children objects to the object. The object itself doesn't use the setup. You can create and
configure page setups in Shared web items.
Header style - select the header style for the object.
Inside - displays the object's name together with the object header on Web.
Outside - displays a divider between the object's name and the object header on Web.
None - displays the object without its object name.
Border style - select the border style for the object.
Line - displays the object inside a frame on Web.
None- displays the object without a frame on Web.
Shadow - check to display a shadow around the object on Web.
Show status as - select which icon to show in the Title bar. You can choose between:
Status gauge icon
Bullet icon
No icon
Transparency - enter a value for how transparent the object is on Web.
The value range is between '0' to '100', where '100' represents that the object is fully transparent.
Header color - click the Edit button () and select a color for the object header.
You can create and configure colors in Shared web items.
For optimum design, Corporater BMP recommends you don't use bright gradients or transparent pastels as header colors for table headers.
Font color - click the Edit button () and select a color for the object's text font.
You can create and configure colors in Shared web items.
Container - click the Edit button () and select a container for the object.
The container represents the page tab on which the object displays on Web.
You can create and configure containers for page setups in Shared web items.
Show on large display - select for the object to display on devices with a large display.
Show on medium display - select for the object to display on devices with a medium display.
Show on small display - select for the object to display on devices with a small display.
Tab - the page tab to display the object on Web.
You can create and configure new tabs in Shared web items.
Miscellaneous
YTD enabled - select the object's relation to year-to-date (YTD) calculations.
True - enables YTD calculations for the object.
False - disables YTD calculations for the object.
Inherit - determines the object to use the value of the corresponding property from its parent object.
Period selection enabled - select the availability type of the period selector for this object on Web.
Inherit - applies the same availability type as for the object's parent.
True - displays the selector with each period for the object.
Greater periods only - displays the selector with only periods that are greater than the scorecard period for the object.
False - hides the selector for the object.
Access control
Read accessors - click the Edit button () and authorize one or more users and user groups to view the object on Web.
Add accessors - click the Edit button() and authorize one or more users and user groups to add new objects to the object on Web.
Write accessors - click the Edit button() and authorize one or more users and user groups to edit the object on Web.
Delete accessors - click the Edit button() and authorize one or more users and user groups to delete the object on Web.
Ownership - click the Edit button () and grant ownership of the object to one or more users and user groups.
Users and user groups who own the object have full access rights to it.
Override access profile - select for the object's access control setting to outrank the object's corresponding access settings in profiles.
