The default Time drill is configured to show figures per selected period type for the entire current year. You can change this, or you can create other Time drills, to show other time periods.
Changes you make to the default Time drill will apply to all Functions where the default Time drill is used.
To create a new Time drill right click Drill and select Add -> Time drill. Double click it to open the configuration.
General
Name - the name "Time drill" is generated automatically but it may be changed
Description - an optional text describing the column
Configuration
Detail table - Used to drill further than leaf level. This is based on a query table that must be created in Templates. Select the query table containing the data. See Detail table for more information.
Override format - check the box if you want to change the default format (Format type = "Normal", Decimal places = "2", Color style = "Normal"). The fields below it will become active and you can enter the desired formatting information in Format type, Prefix, Postfix, Decimal places, and/or Color style. See Formatting for more information. This is useful e.g. if you do not want the drill to contain decimals.
Start date - an Adjusting function to specify the first date to include in the drill, e.g. -by for the beginning of the current year, -m-bm for the beginning of the previous month. Click the icon on the right to open the date calculator.
End date - an Adjusting function specifying the last date to include in the drill, e.g. +ey to indicate the end of the current year or +em for the end of the current month.
Include future values - if checked, values for future periods between the Start date and End date will be included; if not checked they will not be included.
Period type - to always use a specific period type (year, month, etc.) select the desired period type from the list. If left empty the "current" period type will be used.
Header - an expression (text and/or dynamic (token) tag expression) that will that will be translated into a column heading. Click on the right to select context variables for time specification, and/or organization and object properties. The default tag is ${this.eop.medium} which means the end of the current period in medium format.
Tags should not contain white spaces, especially between $ and {.
E.g. $ { this.object.id } could be misinterpreted. The correct syntax is ${this.object.id}.
