When you expand the Actual-Budget drill by click on the + in front of the name, you will see that it consists of several columns: Actual, Budget, Deviation, Actual YTD, Budget YTD, and Deviation YTD. These are the columns that are needed to show a comparison of actual and budgeted values for the current period and year to date.
You can add additional columns to the Actual-Budget drill by right clicking it and selecting Add -> Node type column. Double click on a column to configure it.
It is also possible to add Modifier columns to Actual-Budget drills. See the Custom drill section for information about
Modifier columns.
General
Name - the standard Actual-Budget drill has that name but it may be changed
Description - an optional text describing the column
Configuration
Detail table - to drill further down in external data, select a query table that already exists in Templates
After the query table is connected to the drill, it must be specifically configured for use in drills, i.e.
the ${node} context variable is based on the leaf node selected
the ${nodeType} context variable is based on the node type of the value
the ${organisation} or ${this.organisation} context variable is based on the organization currently selected in the drill, or the context if there is no organization table
Drills ignore the Start and End dates of organizations. This means that all organizations that are included in the drill structure will appear in the drill, even if they have not started or they have expired. You can use Hide 0 rows on the function to hide rows that contain no values, but rows that contain values will still appear.
the ${this.bop} and ${this.eop} context variables are based on the drill context / column selected

Each column in the Actual-Budget drill has the following properties:
General
Name - new columns are given the name "Node Type column" automatically but it may be changed
Description - an optional text describing the column
Configuration
Override format - check the box if you want to change the default format (Format type = "Normal", Decimal places = "2", Color style = "Normal"). The fields below it will become active and you can enter the desired formatting information in Format type, Prefix, Postfix, Decimal places, and/or Color style. This is useful e.g. if you do not want the drill to contain decimals. See Formatting for more information.
Node type - the node type of the column or the first node type if the column should show the result of a calculation. Click the Node type icon to the right of the field to select the desired node type.
Operator - the operator (+, -, *, /, %) to use if the column should show the result of a calculation. Click the down arrow on the right to select. By default the operator is '-' if no calculation is used.
Second Node type - the second node type to use if the column should show the result of a calculation. If no calculation is used this field is empty.
Year to Date - mark the box if the column should show Year to Date values
Example:
As an example let's see how the 'Deviation YTD' column is configured. Double click on the Deviation YTD column. "Actual" has been selected in 'Node type', 'Operator' contains "-" , and 'Second Node type' contains "Budget". So the resulting calculation will be "Actual" - "Budget". In addition YTD is checked, indicating that the column will contain Year to Date values for the calculation.
