WORKFLOW
Use Add object if you want to add a new object to your BMP model when a given event occurs. Objects that can be added are e.g. Task list, Checklist, Risk factor list, Initiative table, Risk assessment table, as well as various charts. Only objects that may be added to the object selected in the Event rule will be available.
If you want to be able to add a certain type of object with a special configuration, you should create and define it in Defaults and then
use it in Workflow with Add object. You should consider creating good default objects and using them as templates. With Defaults you can also create customized structures to be added by an Event rule. Note
that these objects and structures will also be exposed throughout the entire system.
Objects created by Workflow are the same as any others in the system. However, you can only configure Name, Start date, and End date using Add object.
Create an Add object action by right clicking the Event schedule or Follow-up schedule and choosing Add -> Action -> Add object.
General
Name - the name "Add object" is generated automatically but it may be changed
Description - an optional text describing the object
Add from Defaults - when checked, an object from the Default model will be added
Object - if Add from Defaults is checked, select the object in Default model to be added
Type - if Add from Defaults is not checked, select the type of object you want to add from the list
You can choose any object type that is available in the Add menu for the object you selected in the Event rule.
So if you want a special type of object, with a certain configuration, you can define it in Defaults and then use it in Add object action.
Name of new object - enter the name the new object should be given
Start date - the first date the element is valid (see Time span for more information)
End date - the last date the element is valid
Setting Start date or End date for object types that do not have those properties will
have no effect.
Audit
Modified by - the name of the last user to make changes to the object.
Last modified - the date and time when the object was last changed.
Created by - the name of the user who created the object.
Created - the date and time when the object was created.
If you only want to add an object (e.g. a Comment list or Task list) the first time the specified conditions are met, be sure
to mark Perform only first time in the Event schedule.
To add a Comment to a Comment list, Task to a Task list etc, the list object must already exist.
Modified by for objects that are updated via Update object property and Created by for objects added via Add object will be the user specified in Run as.
You may want objects that are added or updated by Workflow to be marked as such in the Audit section. You can do this by creating a separate Workflow user in Users and Groups, and giving it "Workflow" access. Then select that user in Run as.
To add an icon to be displayed on an object on a scorecard page, e.g. to a KPI, use Update object property.
ID
ID - a unique ID for the object.
By
default, Corporater BMP assigns consecutive numbers to new objects.
You can change the ID to a value of choice that can include either letters or letter and number combinations.
The ID mustn't contain only numbers, include special characters such as ) ( . * } { + < > [ ], or match the name of a default object type in Corporater BMP.
Access control
Read accessors - click the Edit button () and authorize one or more users and user groups to view the object on Web.
Add accessors - click the Edit button() and authorize one or more users and user groups to add new objects to the object on Web.
Write accessors - click the Edit button() and authorize one or more users and user groups to edit the object on Web.
Delete accessors - click the Edit button() and authorize one or more users and user groups to delete the object on Web.
Ownership - click the Edit button () and grant ownership of the object to one or more users and user groups.
Users and user groups who own the object have full access rights to it.
Override access profile - select for the object's access control setting to outrank the object's corresponding access settings in profiles.
