WORKFLOW
Workflow is the model for creating dynamic management processes and rule-based activities.
A Workflow "listens" for events according filters you set up, to find out whether rules you have defined are fulfilled. If so, messages are sent and/or actions are taken.
What events will trigger actions? Any event that can be described as a rule can trigger actions. Some examples are:
External events:
Changes in competitive conditions
Competitor performance
Internal events:
Actions on results
Lack of action on results
Changes needed - The need for allocation of resources
Agreed management processes are not implemented
Identification of high risk areas
The Workflow model contains ready-made components for actions that can be taken, e.g.
Notifying involved personnel
Initiating processes
Creating reports
Distributing Forms
The Workflow model can be found in the View menu, under BMP in the Window menu, or in the toolbar.
Workflows consists of Event rules and Actions, with possible Follow-up rules and Follow-up actions. A Workflow run can be started via an Event schedule, via an Action button on a web page or by clicking Run in the right click menu on the Event rule in Configuration Studio.
