TRANSFORMER
Use an Organization target when you want to create new organizations in a BMP database.
To create an Organization target, right click in the Transformer design panel, choose Target -> Organization target. Connect it to the previous process as described in Processes. Double click the object to configure it.
General
Name - the name "Organization target" is generated automatically but it may be changed
Description - an optional text describing the object
Audit
Modified by - the name of the last user to make changes to the object.
Last modified - the date and time when the object was last changed.
Created by - the name of the user who created the object.
Created - the date and time when the object was created.
The first three fields on the left (Key, Name, Description) correspond to the BMP database fields ID, Name, and Description that must be entered for each organization. Choose the fields that you want to use as Key, Name, and Description from the drop-down lists. The fields you use must be of data type 'String'.
There are three ways new organizations can be inserted into the BMP database:
Attempt best fit - the system will try to find the best place to insert new organizations, e.g. ID "123" will be inserted after organization "122".
Insert into - this alternative allows you to specify where in the tree new organizations are to be inserted.
Insert as child of column - use with Hierarchy to create the desired tree structure in the database.
If Force structure is marked, the structure in the BMP database will be reorganized to conform with the structure of the organizations being inserted from the source.
Press Preview and the list of organizations in the right hand pane will be updated with the organization(s) you are inserting, so you can check that the tree structure is correct. Green indicates organizations that will be inserted, blue denotes organizations that will be changed and red organizations that will be moved. This allows you to make changes before the database is actually updated.
