BOP (Beginning of period) is a time function that is used to include all figures that are registered in the current period. On a scorecard with monthly frequency, BOP for May represents May 1st 00:00 AM, and EOP (End of period) represents May 31st 23:59:59:59 PM. Thus all figures for the entire period will be included. BOP,EOP are implicit in expressions that are created in the Function calculator, i.e. it is not necessary to specify them.
Note that when YTD (Year to date) is used on the web, BOP is overridden to BOY in all functions.

The function can be used to fetch values for a period. It can also be used in combination with other time adjusting functions. This is done by adding or subtracting the appropriate number of periods, e.g. to find the figures for the current period and the two previous periods:
