NOM (number of months) can be used to find the number of months in a given period.
NOM(BOP,EOP)
This function has many uses, but the most common are probably to calculate average per month and in connection with forecasting (actual year to date + budgeted for the remainder).
NOM per month is always 1
NOM in February = 1
NOM in May = 1
NOM YTD in May will give 5
Use NOD if you need exact number of days.
See NOP (Number of Periods) for more information.
In the Function calculator, select a node, click the NO button, and choose NOM. Make changes to the Start and End functions if necessary. Click OK when you are finished.
