abs

ABS (absolute value, i.e. a numerical value regardless of its sign) converts the result of a function to an absolute value, e.g. -1 = 1.

 

Syntax

ABS([nodeID])

 

Use

The function can be used in status calculations to indicate that the green zone is +/-5%, yellow zone is +/-10%, and red zone is +/-15%. All values are converted to absolute values and limits can be set accordingly.

 

How to create

In the Calculator you must first enter or select what you want to find the absolute value of in the Calculation field at the top. e.g. a nodeID (enclosed in square brackets) or an expression. Make changes to Start and End if necessary and then click the DIV button and choose ABS. The contents of the function will be enclosed in parentheses.
