The left column contains conditions (similar to Splitter), and the right column describes operations that are to be performed if a condition is met.
To start with only the Icon button in the middle of the screen is active. Click it to add the first Condition.
This will open the Calculator that can be used to set up the selection conditions. Click OK when you have defined the Condition.
E.g. if you want to perform an operation on all records belonging to organization "A", the Condition to use is ${org}="A". Enter this directly in the Function field, or double click "org" in the Fields panel, click the "=" button and then double click "A" in the Unique values panel. Click OK.
Now highlight the Condition you just defined and the other icons in the middle of the screen will become active, as well as the Add icon on the right.
Click the Icon button in the middle to add another Condition
Click the Edit button if you want to make changes to the highlighted Condition
Click the Delete button if you want to delete the highlighted Condition
Use these two icons to
change the order of the Conditions by moving the highlighted Condition up or down in the list.
With a Condition on the left highlighted, click the Add icon on the right to define the operation(s) that are to be performed if the Condition is true. Again the Calculator opens and you can use it to define operations. Each Condition may have one or more operations connected to it; just click the Add icon again to add another. See Calculator for more information.
Now you can create more Conditions with Operations connected to them. The Operations connected to the first Condition will be performed on records that satisfy the first Condition, Operations connected to the second Condition will be performed on records that satisfy the second Condition, and so on.
At the bottom of the dialog there are three checkboxes:
First true condition only - Only the operations connected to the first true Condition per record will be performed. If more than one condition is true for a record, the operations connected to them will not be performed.
Drop out false rows - Rows that do not meet any of the Conditions will be dropped out, i.e. they will not be included in the rest of the run. They can be found in the Dropouts tab in Preview.
Use as an ABC allocation process - The Multi Calculation will be used as an ABC allocation process when this is checked
