When you create a new Transformer Project group a Transformer project is added to it by default. Additional projects may be added manually. To do so right click the project group name and choose Add -> Transformer project. Any number of projects may be added to a project group, but we recommend organizing them in smaller project groups.
General
Name - the name "Transformer project" is generated automatically but it should be changed to something more descriptive
Description - an optional text describing the category
Preview
Max preview rows - the number of rows to display in the Preview panel. Default value is 5000. You may want to set it lower during development and testing.
Max preview rows does not determine the number of rows used e.g. when selecting distinct values in Calculations, Splitters,
or Targets.
All rows in the source will be used when the project is run, no matter what is selected in Max preview rows.
Comment
Show project comments - if marked the project comments will be visible in Transformer design by default
Bring comments to front - if marked, any project comments will be on top of the project elements in the Transformer design
Web
These properties concern the option to start Transformer jobs from My Transformer jobs under My Responsibilities on the web page. The web page will contain links to Transformer
jobs that the current user has access to, depending on how they are defined. You can use the properties below to filter the jobs that will be available for individual users and by dates. A user can run a job by clicking on its name or the Transformer
icon beside it.
The same page also contains functionality to undo previously run projects that use a BMP Data records target. This is explained in the web documentation.
Enable Transformer for web - mark the box if it should be possible for users to start the project in My Transformer jobs in My Responsibilities on the web. Only projects that are marked and will be available in My Transformer jobs
If the project contains a BMP Data records target the following properties will
become visible in the Transformer project configuration:
Show current user's jobs only - the table of previously run jobs will only contain jobs run by the current user. If not marked, all users with access will be able to see and undo the job. This property is only relevant when a BMP Data records target is used in the project and will not be visible if other targets are used.
Filter imports older than - If an expression is entered here, the table of previously run jobs will only show imports that are between current date and the date defined by the expression. This property is only relevant when a BMP Data records target is used in the project and will not be visible if other targets are used.
You can further limit access to start Transformer jobs on the web via Access control. Right click on a Transformer
project and choose Access control. There you can choose users and/or groups who should be able to run the project and then mark Override Access Profile for Transformer project: <name> at the bottom.
Hide previous imports tab - select to hide the Previous imports tab on the project details page for the transformer project on Web
Hide template section - select to hide the DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE panel on the project details page for the transformer project on Web
