NUM
NUM is a calculator function that converts a string to a numeric value. The string must contain only numbers.
Choose the field that is to contain the result in the Result Field drop-down list at the top, or create a new one by entering a new name.
Syntax
NUM(<text>)
where <text> is the name of a field
Use
Use NUM to convert numbers stored in alphanumeric fields into numeric values in order to use them in other calculations.
If the number contains decimals, two decimals places are added automatically.
