REPORTER
Report templates are the basis for reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
You can create them in MS Office, save them, and then import them into your report, spreadsheet, or presentation.
In a report template, you can add Reporter tags, images, text fragments and, if you have a license for Extended, even extended syntax.
Text and image elements can be formatted by using the editor's formatting options.
Corporater BMP supports any font type, including custom fonts. Note however that, if you use a custom font, any report that's based on the template will have a larger file size in PDF format as a result.
You can include Extended syntax in the report template between the #ext and #endext reporter tags. The tags indicate Corporater BMP to convert any text that's located between them to an extended expression, and then execute that expression when it runs the report.
The Extended syntax mustn't include nested #ext and #ext tags or other reporter tags.
Corporater BMP recommends you check the syntax between the #ext and #endext tags in the Extended Interface before you include it in the report template.
If the syntax includes quotes, verify that they display as straight quotes (' ') in the report template file.
For Corporater BMP to exclude the entire page that includes the result of the Extended syntax from the report, add an IF statement by using #if and #endif report tags after the #ext and #endext tags.
When you have created and saved your report template as described above, right click your report in Reporter and select Import or Ctrl+r. The report, spreadsheet, or presentation is immediately ready to Verify and Preview.
By using Export you can export the report template to a location on the local hard disc and edit it.
Right-click the Report, Spreadsheet, or Presentation and choose Export from the menu or click Ctrl+e. Save the template to any desired location, e.g. to your Desktop. Corporater BMP saves the file in .doc format.
You can open the file for editing as any other file. Add the Reporter tags and make the other changes you want and format them using the formatting available in the editor, in the same way as with Edit template . Save the file when you are finished, and import it as described above.
To convert existing report templates from legacy .odt format to .doc format, export the file to convert, open it in MS Word and save it as a .docx file before importing
it again. Perform the same steps to convert presentations.
Corporater BMP uses your default editor to open a report template or template listing. To open legacy .odt files, Corporater BMP automatically uses MS Office instead
of OpenOffice.
