You can use list property sets to define global sets of options in a list, which you can reuse in several list properties and maintain in one common structure.
A set can contain one or more:
List property items from one or more list property sets that are located as the same level or at a higher level in the lists hierarchy.
Child list property sets.
For users to see a hierarchical list property set on Web, create a related reference property whose configuration includes list property sets as types (Types = 'List property set') and the ID of the category that includes the hierarchical list property set as root reference (Root reference = ${'t.123'}). The configuration of the reference property determines how the hierarchical list property set displays on Web - for example, select Display selector as for the list property set to display as a simple list, a hierarchical structure, or a search box, or Multi select for the hierarchical list property set to display as a multi-selection list. Then, add the reference property to an object type in Type Management in the Defaults model and select 'visible' for the property in that object's Column configuration.
For a list property set to include an empty selection, leave Include empty as selected in the list property's configuration.
For Corporater BMP to dynamically generate a new list property set, create a reference property whose configuration includes 'List property set' for Types and a reference to another property for Root reference. The property can be a specific property or a property that holds that property.
To create a list property set in Shared web items, right-click and choose Add -> List property set. Or create a category or use an existing one, and then add the list property set to it.
